This necklace was given to me for Christmas by one of my best friends.  In her card to me she said she believed that the word HOPE would be significant for me in the coming year.  I knew when I received this gift (the promise and the necklace) that the LORD was drawing me back to Himself.  Like the dirty window in this picture, my heart is messy.  But, God invites us just as we are to turn again and hope in Him.

“Oh what a Savior, isn’t He wonderful?  Sing Hallelujiah, Christ is risen.  Bow down before Him, for He is LORD of all.  Sing Hallelujiah, Christ is Risen.”

I do not know what is ahead but I know that I am safe in the shadow of the Almighty and want to live in His hope -hope for my future, hope for the people around me, hope for the whole world.

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our LORD Jesus Christ.  Through Him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.  Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”  Romans 5:1-5 ESV
